Bob Garvey is a principal with MKS&H and the founder and
practice leader for the firm's forensic accounting and financial
advisory services. With over thirty years of experience, he is
well known in the Mid-Atlantic region for providing forensic
accounting, fraud investigation and fraud deterrence services.
He has handled cases ranging from simple contract disputes to
multi-million-dollar, multi-level international frauds. He
testifies as an expert witness on matters involving complicated
financial transactions, allegations of fraud, business disputes
and divorce issues.
Bob is a Certified Valuation Analyst and provides business
valuations and related consulting for a variety of purposes,
such as divorce settlements, shareholder and partner disputes
and estate and tax planning.
Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from
the University of Maryland. He is a frequent lecturer on the
subject of employee fraud and abuse. A member of the American
College of Forensic Examiners, he has developed and taught
forensic accounting courses for this organization. Bob has
developed and taught an educational program for the Association
of Certified Fraud Examiners and guest lectured on forensic
accounting subjects at Stevenson University. He also is a member
of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the
Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
