Gib Mason is a principal with MKS&H. He has 28 years of experience in organizational stewardship and cultural development. He has an extensive history of helping various companies drive rapid growth and instill winning cultures.

Gib is committed to leading McLean, Koehler, Sparks & Hammond’s growth through strategic planning, strategic alliances, new product development, new distribution channels, and marketing.

Previously, Gib was the CEO at EntreQuest, a corporate sales placement, consulting and training firm. There he oversaw all operations and designed and implemented processes that contributed to rapid revenue growth. Over a 2 year period, the company revenue base grew 120%.

Prior to running, EntreQuest, Gib was the CFO at EMG Corp, a privately held, national environmental and engineering assessment consulting firm. In this capacity, he was instrumental in navigating the company through a period of significant change and growth. Under his direction EMG went from a $27 million to a $52 million company in less than 2 years.

Gib played a major role as the CFO and COO during his time at 180s, Inc., a privately held, branded consumer-products company. There he assisted in transforming it from a 4 teammate, $1 million in revenue firm in 1999 to a global company of over 100 teammates and $45 million in revenue by 2004. He was instrumental in the development and refinement of 180s financial, operations and human resource strategies. In addition, as part of the senior leadership at American Express Tax and Business Services (formerly Wolpoff & Company, LLP), Gib was responsible for firm administration and all aspects of practice marketing and human resource management. When Wolpoff & Company was purchased by American Express, Gib helped manage the integration of the two organizations.

Gib has spent the last 20 years dedicated to the social and economic development of the community in which his family lives and works. He has deep commitment to the education and enrichment of children. As co-founder and board member of the b4students foundation, they concentrate their efforts on bringing awareness, opportunity, and inspiration to all underserved, at-promise high-school students. Recently, the program was rolled up under the umbrella of the Big Brother, Big Sisters of Maryland. In addition, he sits on the board for the Maryland Mentoring Partnership (MMP) and the Alex Brown Entrepreneurship Center Board.

In the area of economic development, he has participated through the Greater Baltimore Alliance as an ambassador for Baltimore on executive sales missions to California and Texas. Gib has also been involved in retaining current businesses in Baltimore through the Downtown Partnership’s Corporate Call program. Additionally, he has sat on numerous boards and advisory committees of for-profit companies and not-for-profit entities.

Gib graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a Bachelor’s degree in economics. He is currently pursuing a Masters in organizational development from Johns Hopkins University’s Carey School of Business. In addition, Gib is a Certified Public Accountant.
