Barb Walker is a partner with MKS&H and the leader of the firm’s
Frederick accounting and auditing practice. In her 15 years at
MKSH, Barb has assisted a variety of entrepreneurial companies
and non-profit organizations with their compliance and
operational issues. Barb has extensive experience in various
industries including construction, wholesale distribution,
hospitality, manufacturing, government contracting, professional
services, health care, and cemetery and funeral homes. In the
non-profit sector, Barb has utilized her expertise to assist
private schools, trade associations, long-term care providers,
developmental service providers and governmental entities with
their business and compliance needs. In addition to their
compliance needs, Barb has provided companies and organizations
with assistance in obtaining financing, cash flow forecasting,
operational reviews, controllership duties, internal control
analysis, agreed upon procedure engagements and various other
matters.
Barb received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of
Maryland at College Park as well as an MBA, with a concentration
in Accounting, from Mount Saint Mary's College. She is a
Certified Public Accountant. Barb serves as Treasurer on the
Executive Board of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce. She
is a past Board member of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek and
is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Frederick. Barb is a
graduate of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce’s
Leadership Frederick program. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified
Valuations Analyst.
