66 Years of Service

Sixty-six years of a company represents a tapestry of people, places and experiences. This is especially true at McLean, Koehler, Sparks & Hammond, where our success has been based on the commitment of our people and the working relationships we've been privileged to share with our clients.

MKS&H continues to look to the future. Expanded facilities, significant investments in technology, a growing staff of dedicated professionals--these are just a few examples of our desire to become better than ever.

In 1943, Bill McLean and Fred Koehler opened the firm in downtown Baltimore. Today, our Firm's work is a reflection of our history, culture and experience. At MKS&H, we build on half a century of learning, gained from our work with many businesses and on the personal devotion of our founders to meeting client needs. We remain strongly committed to their values--as our tradition and as our promise to clients of today and tomorrow.

In the late 1940s, one of George Sparks' first clients was Foster Brothers Manufacturing Company. While completing his formal education, Bill Hammond worked for Foster Brothers as an accountant. Through their working relationship, George and Bill became friends.

Coincidentally, during World War II, both George and Bill were B-25 pilots in the Army Air Corps. Long after they became friends, George and Bill discovered that they had been part of the same medium bomb group. Although they didn't know each other at the time, George and Bill were stationed at the same airstrip in Feni, India (now Bangledesh) from 1944 to 1945.
