Kathleen M. Davis, CPA is a partner with McLean, Koehler, Sparks & Hammond as well as a member of the firm’s executive committee.  She has 20 years of public accounting experience and is a leader of the firm’s tax practice. Kathy works with a variety of industries, including serving as the tax expert for the firm’s death care industry team.  In this capacity, she provides compliance and consulting services to a variety of local and publicly-traded cemetery and funeral home operations. In addition, she has extensive experience working with individual, corporate, partnership, estate, gift and trust tax returns, as well as planning for closely-held businesses, individuals and estates.  She specializes in employee benefit plans, including compliance filings and consulting for welfare & cafeteria plans, severance plans, 401(k) plans and profit sharing plans.

Kathy received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from George Mason University.  She is a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Frederick County, a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  She is also a member of the Frederick Rotary Club, past President of the Baltimore chapter of Worldwide Employee Benefits (WEB) and a graduate of the Leadership Frederick County program sponsored by the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves as 2nd Vice Chairman for the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation of Frederick County.
